Fundraising Ministry

I am so excited, that I can hardly contain myself! A dear friend of mine (that God brought into my life during our adoption) and I are embarking on an exciting journey! We are in the process of beginning a fundraising ministry for adoptive families. Both of us have a deep desire to assist adoptive families, and we're excited to see how God is going to use this! I will have all the details soon, so stay tuned!!!!!

31 Families of HOPE

Today, over at Reaching Hearts, our family is being feature as one of the 31 Families of HOPE. Take a minute to check it out!

Shelly, at Reaching Hearts, has written an amazing devotional book for adoptive momma's entitled 31 Nuggets of Hope. I LOVE it and highly recommend ALL adoptive mommas to make sure they have a copy!

Where Did the Last Month Go?

I promised myself I wouldn't be one of those people that completely forgot about her blog once our son came home! Well....I obviously have not kept that promise. We have been SO busy around here that the blog seems to always end up at the bottom of the list of things to do.

What have we been up to? Well frankly, I feel like I've spent the last 4 weeks at the doctor's office. I'm convinced that we brought every germ possible home from Russia. All 5 of the kids have been sick at least once! We are finally ALL well and we're hoping to keep it that way!

Artem is blowing our mind with how quickly he is picking up English. He is saying his ABC's and counting to 15. Today, he was talking to me in complete English sentences. AMAZING!

Our transition is going well. There have been some difficult days, but every day we see progress made!

I haven't had a chance to upload all of the pictures from the last month to my computer, but here are a few more of my favorite pictures from our first moments together as a family!

Week 1 Home

Ok, so we've actually been home 10 days! (I'm a few days behind!)

Things are going well around our house! We've had some rough moments, but overall everyone seems to be adjusting well.

Over the past week, Artem has discovered bean & cheese tacos (a true South Texan), he's decided there's no need for a shirt, he's played with his grandparents, watched football with Daddy, made a brief drop-in visit to church and got his first boo boo! (He's definitely ALL boy!!)

Bedtime is our most difficult time, but we'll keep trying different routines until we find what works! Strep throat struck our house, so that added some extra difficulties! But, we're thankful and happy to have everyone home together!!!!!

Our Son

My poor blog has definitely taken a back seat the past few weeks! Our Internet connection, while in Russia, was terrible. Then, once we got home Saturday evening, I was EXHAUSTED! Since I'm finally somewhat coherent today, I'd like to officially introduce our son....Stephen Artem Cole!!!
